TSA Lock Guidance
Easy Luggage TSA Locks
At Easy Luggage, we prioritise your travel security and convenience. That’s why our suitcases come with Travel Sentry® Approved locks, ensuring your belongings stay protected throughout your trip.
These locks allow airport security to open, inspect, and relock your luggage without causing any damage, making your travel experience smoother and stress-free.
TSA = Transportation Security Administration
TSA stands for the Transportation Security Administration. It’s an agency within the US Department of Homeland Security that has authority over the security of the travelling public in the United States.
Chiefly concerned with air travel, the TSA employs screening officers in airports, armed Federal Air Marshalls in planes, and mobile teams of dog handlers and explosive specialists. They have stringent demands in regard to accessing luggage for security purposes, and thus staff possess a special and secure tool to open locks as needed—a tool which is unavailable to the general public.
Travel Sentry®
Travel Sentry® approved locks were created in 2003 to help improve the travel experience. Travel Sentry® brands are licensed to over 600 luggage and travel accessories brands including Easy Luggage.
Travel Sentry® and their locks are used and approved in more than 750 airports in 75 countries. The lock is accepted by the Transportation Security Administration and the two work in tandem to improve your travel experience. Travel Sentry works closely with the TSA equivalents in the countries listed below.
To help you set up and use your lock, we've included three video tutorials to guide you through the process for each lock type.
